Using a database in conjunction with your web pages allows you to deliver
text, images, and other web content based on specific requests for information
from people viewing your site. Rather than static pages which always deliver
the same information you can offer dynamically generated pages. You can either
set this up with a search facility on the site or provide links which the
user clicks to see a page displaying the information they have requested.
All the information is stored in a database.
